Coverage

Coverage at the level of your life.

Four lines of business, placed deliberately. Homeowners, auto, umbrella, and business. Each written to match what you have actually built.

The lines we place

A short list, placed properly.

Armor Group is an independent agency with a deliberately narrow coverage practice. We write four lines for the households and businesses we serve (homeowners, auto, umbrella, and business) because those four lines carry the actual exposure for the clients we place, and because a narrow practice is the only practice that can be done with real depth.

Every account is reviewed in the context of the whole household or the whole enterprise. A homeowners policy is read against the auto policy, the auto policy is read against the umbrella, and the umbrella is read against the household's actual asset picture. That is how the work gets done. A practice built to move volume cannot do this, and most of the market is built to move volume.

The clients we serve sit on three paths. Households across Saratoga Springs and the Capital Region. Second-home portfolios and households in the New York metro corridor. Owner-led businesses in hospitality and professional services across both markets. The practice is the same for all three: agent-led, narrow, deep.

The coverage lines

What we place, and who we place it for.

Personal auto coverage

Primary, secondary, and collector vehicles for households that have more than one car and care what happens to them. Placed with carriers whose auto products match their home products.

Boat and watercraft coverage

Saratoga Lake, Lake George, Great Sacandaga, and the Hudson. Agreed-value hull terms, lay-up periods that match the actual season, and liability that connects to the household umbrella.

Motorcycle coverage

Agreed value for classics and customs, scheduled equipment at the real investment, and a liability stack reviewed against the umbrella rather than assumed into it.

Plain-language explainers: what each policy covers, what the state requires, what moves the price, and how to start a quote.

Specialty

Equine and hospitality, placed on request.

Saratoga is equine country and hospitality country. Both lines are written on a case basis with specialty markets when the account is the right fit. We do not advertise equine or hospitality as a primary practice, but if the exposure is yours and the carriers are available, we will place the business. Bring the account to your dedicated agent, and we will tell you whether we are the right home for it.

The independent difference

Why this agency, and not the other kind.

Captive agents work for one carrier. Direct writers work for themselves. An independent agency works for the account, and the work shows up in two places: in the carrier we reach for, and in the advocacy when the claim gets complicated.

Many of the specialty and high-net-worth insurers we work with don't sell directly. They place business through a small number of appointed independent agencies that have demonstrated they can handle those accounts properly. We are one of those agencies. See the carriers we represent →

Service area

Where we write business.

Six counties across the Capital Region and the Adirondack edge. Each county hub names the cities we cover and the carrier access we bring.

  • Saratoga County

Armor Group Insurance is a Saratoga Springs practice. Saratoga County is where the practice begins and where our agents do the work.

  • Albany County

Albany County is the second center of gravity for the practice. Loudonville, Bethlehem, and the Albany professional corridor.

  • Schenectady County

Schenectady County is part of the Capital Region service area. The agency writes the file from the Saratoga office.

  • Rensselaer County

Rensselaer County sits across the Hudson from Albany. East Greenbush and North Greenbush are the primary geography for the practice.

  • Warren County

Warren County is the Adirondack-adjacent edge of the service area. Lake George, Bolton Landing, and Queensbury are the primary geographies.

  • Washington County

Washington County is the rural-eastern edge of the service area. The agency writes the file at the county level, with hands-on placement for households that own land and stand-built homes.

A parallel corridor

Many of these households have a downstate side.

A house in Westchester, a pied-à-terre in Manhattan, a place on the East End. The NYC Metro corridor is how we cover that side of the household. A separate path, the same principal.

Across the state line

We’re licensed and writing in New Jersey.

The Bergen and Essex estate belt, Monmouth’s estate-and-shore county, and the Jersey Shore’s second-home market, often for the same household that already keeps a home in New York.

Two coasts, one household

We’re licensed and writing in Florida.

Palm Beach County’s Atlantic enclaves and the Naples Gulf coast, the Florida home of the same household that keeps a place in the Northeast. It’s the harder market, where the state’s own backstop won’t write a high-value home and flood runs past the federal cap.
